One of our favorite pastimes is to read Elite Traveler, Departures and a handful of other magazines from cover to cover, as we stay abreast of what our clients' competition is doing in the marketplace. Every so often, we discover a new product for ourselves, in an article written by one of our favorite editors. We'll then clip the article, and take it with us when we go shopping.
Our actions are no different than most luxury buyers.
While seeing advertising for a new product makes us aware of its existence, it's learning more about the product through editorial written by our favorite journalist that makes us want to take action. Remember - selling luxury is about telling your story; well-written articles about you from the perspective of a trusted source further justifies your pricing and your position.
We schedule one-on-one meetings with journalists to educate them about you, sometimes in their office, sometimes over lunch and sometimes at important trade shows. We also coordinate exclusive press breakfasts, lunches and dinners, where select journalists are completely immersed in your brand story over multiple courses. After, we maintain active dialogue with them to ensure when they're doing a story about your industry, you are included and featured in the best possible light.

I met Lilian while I was working as an editor at National Jeweler, and was instantly impressed by her energetic personality and her knowledge of the luxury market and its various players, in the jewelry, timepiece and fashion realms. She has a strong understanding of what editors are looking for in a story, how to craft a pitch in a way that grabs attention and how to help editors do their jobs better. In short, she gets it. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking public relations services.
